By ISAAC SULTAN A joint proposal raising the athletic fee at the College o $2 per semester was passed last month by two committees in athletics. : The -Student-Faculty Gommittee HI Intercollegiate Athletics (SFJA) *and the General Faculty bmmittee on Inter-collegiate Athetics (GFCIA) both passed a moion which calls for the $1 increase o begin in the Fall' '59 term. The ootiori applies to Day Session Stulents only. Starting early in the Spring erm, the student members of the thlebic Association board, brought the motion. However, it was abled and a_survey -to analyze the eeds and us^s of the additio— Gcome was begun. Figures were presented to the IFCIA and the GFCIA which point nit the necessity of the increase. Cited were the additional costs dues, equipment and officials' alaries. Also, the need for new osh coaches outsdde of the deartment. Study Estimates Faculty Manager of Athletics )r.
